Central Australia started to wake up after Easter 2021 after the first 12 months of COVID, as visitors started to arrive for their adventures north during the cooler months of the year. (Our 'normal' busy time).
2021 was going to be the opportunity for you to visit Central Australia and enjoy a simpler time and we were really exciting about seeing a some new faces - we had missed you!
Then the 2021 COVID craziness started and the strong forward bookings and visitors simply evaporated - again.
So, 2 years on, many of the small businesses in Central Australia, particularly in the tourism sector, have had to make hard decisions about what services we can or cannot provide for the foreseeable future.
As small business owners and operators in the region would ask visitors to respect the services that we are able to offer and that these services have a cost.
Please appreciate what is available in our very remote areas and please do not focus on what is not available. Please book everything you can possibly book in advance.
Our team will be working very very hard to make your adventure to Central Australia as special as it can be, but we also know there will be some hiccups along the way.
I like the signs around that many business now have up - Please be kind to our staff, they are the ones who have turned up today for you! (And we need them to turn up again tomorrow!)
