Travel into the heart of Curtin Springs Station before dawn, with a light pre-walk snack. Enjoy exclusive access to Lake Swanson as the sun lights up this ancient and vast landscape. Return to the homestead for a cooked breakfast and an immersive guided tour through our handmade paper facility — where native grasses are transformed into beautiful works of art.
What to Expect:
- Pre-Dawn Departure: Depart the homestead approximately 50 minutes before sunrise.
- Salt Lake Walk: A short, easy-grade walk (approx. 400m) over a sandhill to Lake Swanson.
- Sunrise Viewing: Witness the landscape transform as the sun rises over the salt lake.
- Cooked Breakfast: Return to the homestead for a hearty breakfast.
